Saturday Soup IV

Today is Saturday, and the chicken noodle soup is simmering on the stove.  The chicken is chopped and ready to be turned into chicken salad.  The fancy bread has been bought.  My kids and grandkids will be here for supper and for the first of three Christmases.  But, before we have Christmas, we have my birthday.  All you faithful readers know today is my birthday, and I milk it for all it's worth.

I expect Jake will sing Happy Birthday to me.  I hope so, we've been practicing the one that goes, "Happy Birthday to you.  You live in a zoo.  You look like a monkey and you smell like one, too!"  That's the version I will sing to him in February when he turns three.

Princess Grace will just be adorable and will, hopefully, delight in the festivities.

I am looking forward to having the commotion here this evening and I am ready.  I think I'm ready.  Well, if I'm not, too bad!

I'll be in and out of here with the family and the other Christmases, so let me leave you with my Christmas Wish for you--May each and every one of you have a Very Merry Christmas!  I hope you are with the ones you want to be with this holiday and I hope the joy and love of the season is all yours!  Blessings for the New Year, too!

So, until next time,
Edith Ann, the Birthday Girl!

“Last week the candle factory burned down. Everyone just stood around and sang Happy Birthday.”
